You’ve made it through the holiday season and had the perfect family photos on hand for all the things: your holiday card, that new digital photo frame for the grandparents, and maybe even new family portraits for your living room. Some of the best uses for your maternity, newborn, or family photography sessions are still ahead, though! There are so many unique gift ideas you can use your professional photography for throughout the year. Here is my guide to a few of my favorites!

Prints

Gifting prints from your photography session is one of the most versatile ways to share your gorgeous new photos! Prints are completed using premium inkjet printing on smooth matte hot press 100% cotton paper. The paper has an extra smooth surface and is museum-grade quality, meaning they are meant to stand the test of time!

Clients can choose to order prints in various sizes and paper options, including matte and fine art papers.

Deckled Prints

Deckled prints are my absolute favorite unique photo gift idea for my clients! They’re such an ornate and gorgeous way to share your favorite photos from your session. 

My deckled prints feature delicate and hand-torn edges for a timeless look and feel. Each print has a lightly defined felt structure, letting your photos shine with rich colors and contrasts. They come in various sizes and are printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Bright White paper, which feels so luxurious and timeless!

Print Pack

A print pack is the perfect unique photo gift idea for displaying images from your session throughout your home or sharing with loved ones who will enjoy your photos as much as you will!

These photos are printed on recycled matte paper with an elegant .2” white border. You can print up to 24 of your favorite images from your session in one set, in your size choice of 4×4, 4×6, or 5×5.

Linen Print Keepsake Box 

There is something so beautifully about a keepsake print box. Imagine your children or even grandchildren carefully opening a stunning linen print box and discovering the wonderful photos of their family inside! 

What I love about this unique photo gift idea is the lovely finishing touches it features, from a beautiful embossed cover, an elegant ribbon for lifting prints and a magnetic closure. You can print from 10 to 100 photos on acid-free soft matte photo paper to include inside, sizes 4×6, 5×7, or 8×10.

Fine Art Albums

As popular as digital images are these days, a luxurious crafted album filled with photos from your session will be a timeless and cherished gift your family will adore. It’s a true heirloom keepsake that will be loved and enjoyed now and for many generations to come. 

These beautiful lay-flat linen albums are printed on Giclee acid-free, matte paper. You can customize the album by choosing your linen or leather cover and size (8×8, 10×10, 12×12). 

Lay Flat Albums

What better way to share the photos from your maternity, newborn, or family session as a gift than in an album that can be displayed open on your favorite coffee table or shelf?

Thanks to their seamless spread and thick substrates, handcrafted albums lay entirely flat. Images are printed on professional photographic luster paper, which brings out each picture’s details, colors, and contrast. You can customize these albums to your heart’s content by selecting from various rich linen, velvet, or suede fabric colors, including as few as 20 or as many as 80 pages; and choosing from 8×8, 10×10, or 12×12 sizes.

Hardcover Photo Books

One of the most classic ways you can share all the beautiful images from your family’s session is in a hardcover photo book. Perfect for displaying on your coffee table, these lightweight books have a sturdy binding system that lets viewers flip through like a traditional book. Folios

Folios are one of my favorite unique photo gift ideas because they’re different from so many frames and displays that are typically used to display images. 

Choose two or three of your favorite session images to be printed on Dee Matte photo paper and sealed. The prints feature a beveled white mat, giving them a luxe and finished look. You can pick from up to 10 colored linens to customize your folio for anyone’s taste or preferences! They come in 5×7 and 10×10 sizes, too.

Wrapped Canvas

Wrapped canvases take your traditional photo frames and displays to the next level! They turn your session’s images into beautiful works of art for your home, office, or wherever you want to hang them. My clients have access to premium fine art canvas prints with a matte laminate, using archival ink. This ensures the canvases’ colors will be bold and beautiful forever.

Canvas prints feature a natural wrap that gives life and dimension to your image. They have a paper backing, sawtooth hangers, and bumpers, too. Clients can order wrapped canvases in various sizes including 8×8, 10×10, 12×18, 16×24, and 20×30.

Greeting cards are probably my clients’ favorite use for images from their sessions! Foil greeting cards are the perfect gift to all friends and family who love your family and enjoy watching it grow and change as much as you do. 

Your foil holiday greeting cards are press printed on matte, recycled paper with the best printing technology out there. There are many unique designs to choose from, with your choice of silver, gold, or copper foil lettering. The cards come in packs of 24 and feature a white backside and classic white watercolor paper envelopes. 

Picture Ornaments

Christmas ornaments are such treasures, aren’t they? Over the years, it’s so special to look back on ornaments from the past and remember the special moments you received them. That’s why picture ornaments are one of the most treasured and unique photo gift ideas!

The ornaments my clients can order are modern, metal, and printed on an ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface. They’re waterproof and weatherproof, so you know they’ll fare well on your trees for years! The images have dyes infused into the ornament surface, so the colors are lively! They also have beautiful natural twine ribbons for hanging. The ornaments come in circle, heart, square, and hexagon shapes, among many more!
