The First Year Membership | Alpharetta Newborn Photographer

As an Alpharetta newborn photographer, I get to see just how quickly baby’s grow and change during that first year! That first year of life is full of so much change and it flies by. I believe each stage is beautiful in its own way and deserves to be documented. This is why I offer the First Year Membership!

The First Year Membership can include 3-4 full sessions and even has the added bonus of a special print credit. First Year members enjoy the added perk of having reserved space in my calendar. Another perk of booking this membership is that you will have consistent, beautiful images that cover your baby’s entire first year. Popular options for the first year membership are maternity, newborn, sitter, and first birthday sessions.

The First Session with Your Alpharetta Newborn Photographer

Many families begin with the newborn session. My newborn sessions are lifestyle, which means they are relaxed with no unnatural posing to keep a timeless feel. Newborn sessions can be held in your home or in my private white studio. I offer the option for hair and makeup and complimentary dresses for moms to choose from.

I include the whole family in newborn sessions! If your newborn has older siblings, we will include them in portraits too. Your newborn gallery will consist of traditional smiling portraits and candid interactive shots.

The Sitter Session

The sitter session typically takes place around the midyear mark. But this session does not have to happen at 6 months of age! I recommend scheduling once your baby is beginning to sit. Once baby’s begin to sit, they are interacting with you and their world in new ways! It’s a sweet time to capture a variety of images showcasing their newly emerging personality.

It’s also fun to include the rest of your family in these milestone portraits. Babies really begin to interact with their parents and siblings at this stage. It’s a sweet time to capture how your baby reacts to you!

The First Year Session

This is a fun and active session! We will celebrate your baby’s first birthday with milestone portraits of him or her. I always get photos of your child alone, but we can include the whole family in these photos. Some families even elect to do a cake smash during these celebratory sessions.

We always begin with portraits of your one year old alone. I have a few items in the studio that help us get fun, interactive shots of your child exploring. After we get all the formal and lifestyle shots we need, that is when we would include a cake smash if you want that option. I’ve found babies typically either love the cake and dig right in, or they are hesitant and don’t know what it is. Either way, we make sure we have all our portraits done before the cake is introduced so we don’t have stress about cleaning him or her up afterwards!

Is a First Year Membership Right for You?

To recap, first year memberships can include maternity, newborn, sitter, and first birthday sessions. If you don’t need all four sessions, you can select the combination that works best for you! You will end your membership with a gallery full of images that fully document your baby’s growth journey during that special first year. As a bonus, you will have access to my wardrobe and private studio for all these sessions, making it a stress free way to capture those memories during your child’s first year. Think of a first year membership as an alternative way to make a baby book full of memories!
