3 Reasons To Book Your Portrait Session At The Studio

If you’ve lived in Georgia for any length of time, you know that the fall is everyone’s favorite time to have family portraits taken. The vibrant colors of changing leaves make the perfect backdrop for updated photos. However, any southern resident will tell you that Georgia’s weather is always unpredictable. If you’ve ever worried about rain, bugs and Georgia heat while trying to get all your kids to smile at the camera, a studio portrait session would be perfect for you! 

I am honored to be able to offer my clients a luxurious experience at The Cottage Studio at Vickery Village. This space is beautiful, full of natural light, and includes many different backdrops for a variety of portraits. In today’s post, I’m sharing the 3 reasons why I encourage my clients to book a studio portrait session! Plus, I’m giving you a little #behindthescenes tour of the space and a peek at my client wardrobe!

Reason 1: Ability to control the environment

The number one reason I love sessions at the studio is that it’s a controlled environment. Gone are the days of obsessively checking the forecast because it doesn’t matter what the weather is doing on the day of your shoot! The studio is completely indoors and has so many windows that even on overcast days, it is full of beautiful light. 

Trying to capture family photos outdoors can be tricky. I’ve watched many past clients worry over children playing and getting dirty, or that the humidity is affecting their hair or makeup. All of these concerns go out the door when we’re capturing photos in the studio. There are no outdoor elements and the air conditioner ensures that everyone is completely comfortable for the duration of the session!

Reason 2: A beautiful backdrop + space to get ready

The second reason I love the studio is that it is all white and perfect for every kind of session. I use the studio for maternity sessions, newborn or milestone sessions and even full family sessions. It is a large open space and can easily accommodate an entire family. You’ll see in the photos below that the space is full of light and neutral colors. It has a great selection of furniture and backdrops to ensure a lot of variety in your final gallery. 

It also has a convenient private restroom and space to get ready. You can browse through my client wardrobe to select the perfect outfits for everyone and then take your time getting ready before your photos. I’ve even had mamas show up in their pajamas because everything they needed for their session was waiting at the studio! You can leave the details to me and just show and I’ll take care of the rest.

Reason 3: Conveniently located in Vickery Village

Lastly, the studio is conveniently located just 20 minutes from Atlanta in Vickery Village. This popular spot in Cumming is well loved by locals and for good reason. It has access to amazing restaurants and boutiques, including shops for both adults and children. You could make a whole day of your session with photos and then a nice lunch or dinner at the Village!
