What is your photography style?
When it comes to my photography, I love creating light, airy, timeless, and heartfelt moments that will never go out of style! I love using natural light and muted light colors in my sessions. It gives my photos a very fresh, clean, and warm feeling aesthetic.

What is your specialty?
I specialize in family, motherhood, newborn, and children milestone sessions. I don’t photograph “all the things” I absolutely love documenting new or expecting parents and their littles. It brings me so much joy. However, if you’re looking for someone to do engagement photos or senior portraits, I can recommend other local photographers.
What areas do you serve?
I’m a North Georgia photographer, based out of Dahlonega, Georgia and serving all North Georgia and Atlanta areas. This is my home! I love meeting and getting to know the families in the area!
Where are your studio and family farm located?
My natural light studio & private 60-acre farm property is located in Dahlonega. It’s exclusive to Grace Emily Photography clients! If you know me, then you’ll know that I adore my family farm. It’s one of my favorite things about being a North Georgia Photographer. The lush green fields and beautiful trees really help capture natural light and help create the most beautiful photos. Do you travel outside of Dahlonega?
Absolutely! I love creating beautiful images wherever the client would like their session. It’s so exciting to discover new and beautiful photography locations in Northern Georgia, too!
Where are your newborn sessions held?
This is a great question! Newborn sessions are held in the client’s home. This alleviates the stress of packing a diaper bag and traveling with a brand new baby. As a mother myself, I know how stressful that can be!
I will capture the family in the nursery you’ve so lovingly prepared and throughout the family’s home. Don’t worry too much about needing to have your house spotless, As long as the nursery is tidy, I can work my magic!
When do you recommend we schedule maternity sessions?
I recommend that maternity sessions be held between 27-34 weeks. Typically, during this time mama is feeling her best and is usually showing at this point! This gives you enough time to prepare for your photos and enough time after to share them with family and friends before baby comes!
When should we schedule our newborn session?
When it comes to a newborn session, I typically aim for around the 1-2 weeks old mark, or whenever your family is home and settled! The first few weeks after you bring your baby home can be a lot. Between learning a new routine and handling eager visitors, it can be difficult to carve out time for a session. However, the sooner the better: You don’t want to miss out on those first few precious moments!
Can I schedule a smaller/mini session?
If you don’t need a lot of photos then the mini/petite sessions might be right for you. However, these sessions are exclusively held in the spring & fall with very limited spots. Get in touch with me early if you’re looking to do a mini session.
How does your Client Wardrobe work?
I’ve been a North Georgia photographer long enough to know that one of the most challenging things about family photo sessions is figuring out what everyone will wear! Luckily, I offer a wide variety of wardrobe options for women, babies & young children.

What are the perks of your Membership?
The Membership includes four full sessions with all the best images from each session (40+ images) and one free 8×8 fine art album (valued at $800). It’s perfect for documenting a baby’s first year, from maternity to their first birthday.
Unlike the standard single session, there is no choosing the standard 15 images or upgrading to the full gallery. Membership families also receive first dibs on dates on my busy calendar!
