As fun as it can be to shop for clothes and pick new outfits, choosing what to wear for a photoshoot is stressful! Whether you’re pregnant and trying to dress your growing belly, coordinating outfits for multiple family members, or a mom who can just never find the time to shop for herself, I get it! This is why I curated my Client Wardrobe – to make it easier for my clients to look and feel great! In this post, I’m taking you for a behind the scenes look at the client wardrobe. Be sure to read to the end to see photos of some of the beautiful pieces!
Imagine this: You’ve booked a full session with me and it’s quickly approaching. You’d love to dress yourself and your family in outfits that will photograph beautifully and look great in your family photos… but you don’t want to invest a bunch of money in new clothes or end up having to make returns after the session.
Here’s another scenario: You’ve seen beautiful maternity portraits with women dressed in outfits that bring out their glow and flatter their bump. You know you want to replicate that style in your own maternity photos. There’s just one problem – where the heck will you find those adorable boutique clothes? And, do you really want to buy something to only wear one time? Sometimes it can be difficult to feel beautiful when you’re pregnant, especially in those later months! As your body changes and prepares to welcome your little bundle of joy, the clothes that always made you feel great don’t fit anymore. So what will you wear for your session?
I understand how difficult it can be to plan your attire for portraits. This is why I’m so proud to be able to offer my Client Wardrobe to those who book sessions with me. My clients have free access (seriously!) to a curated collection of outfits I’ve specifically styled so that they can feel and look amazing at their session with me. This wardrobe takes all the guesswork out of planning your outfit and allows you to just show up on the day of the shoot ready to be well cared for!
Before your session, we’ll schedule either a virtual or in-person meeting. During this time, you can look through and select pieces from the Client Wardrobe to borrow for your shoot. You literally wear them for your session & then hand them back over to me. It’s that easy! I also have photographs of every piece in the wardrobe that you’ll be able to click through and view. (You can see a glimpse into those images below!)
My wardrobe has grown so much since I started it, and now includes many options in a wide range of sizes, from XXS-2XL. And I still purchase new pieces often! When the average women’s dress runs $80+, it’s a relief for my clients to know they can wear something that will make them feel stunning and not have to buy it!
I handpick each item in my Client Wardrobe with my clients in mind. I think carefully about the sleeves, the cut of the dress, and how it moves and feels. I want all moms to feel their best during their session!
I’m a busy wife and mom, too! I know what it’s like to want to look great, but just not have the time to hunt down the perfect outfit. There have been times where I avoided booking family photos just because I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of figuring out what to wear!
Every family deserves to document their lives with images where everyone looks their best. That’s why I created my Client Wardrobe!
If you’ve ever…
frantically searched for outfits online, crossing your fingers they’ll fit
painstakingly returned said outfits because they in fact did not look like the photos
rushed into stores (or Amazon) just days before your family’s session, hoping to find the perfect outfits for everyone
…then my friend, the Client Wardrobe is perfect for you!
Shopping for children’s photoshoot outfits can be so fun, but such a struggle! And with multiple children, not only do you have to search and find outfits that compliment each other, they have to fit!
Once you finally find coordinating items for your family and invest in them, they’re worn only once. And then, you know how it goes… they hang in the back of the closet, never to be worn again. Or, as all of us moms know, they probably eventually get stained or ruined because, well, kids are messy.
I am proud to offer only top quality items in my Client Wardrobe. Some of my favorite stores to shop for the wardrobe are:
…and more!
It’s my goal to create a Client Wardrobe that has everything a client might want and need. I maintain a “wardrobe wishlist,” with items I’m hoping to add soon! Clients are welcome to view and purchase items from the list.
After their session, if they contribute them to my Client Wardrobe, they receive a print credit for the total value of the clothes shared with me. Win, win!
Wondering how the items in my Client Wardrobe are kept looking amazing and clean?
It’s simple – I’m a faithful customer at my local dry cleaners. Each item is taken in to be cleaned and pressed after every session! That way, the clothes are professionally laundered and in amazing condition for each and every client.
