I’m so excited to share with you my favorite newborn products for portraits & everyday life! There are so many newborn products to sift through! As a mom with two young children & a Alpharetta newborn portrait photographer, it was past time to share all my favorite portrait & everyday products with you. These products can be used by moms or photographers!
White Noise:
White noise is a must during newborn sessions, in the car & to set your baby up for successful sleep. I personally prefer a shhhh sound. The Susher is a great portable device and makes a soothing shhhh sound. The downside is that it only lasts for 15 or 30-minute increments. Which, isn’t always convenient.
My personal favorite is this “shhhh white noise” youtube video with my own children & also during newborn sessions. It’s the perfect soothing shhhh with a very faint background fan. Also, it’s perfect at home to play during bedtime or when in the car & a car nap is needed, (we just turn on my daughter’s iPad). I love that this youtube video has a black screen & lasts for 12 hours with no ads. My children will almost instantly go to sleep when they hear this sound!

Blankets/Swaddles:
My favorite newborn blankets/swaddles for everyday For newborn sessions, I do prefer to use swaddles from my very own collection. With my experience working with tiny little babies, I know the fabric types and sizes that will work best for swaddling. I offer an array of blankets/swaddles for families to choose from, even Beaufort Bonnett Bow Swaddles! Families love that I offer Beaufort Bonnett Bow Swaddles, as these can be quite pricy & will most likely only be sure for photography purposes. I always prefer a solid white blanket or swaddle. This keeps the focus on the baby & their tiny, delicate details. Harsh or brightly colored swaddles/blankets can cause the bright color to reflect onto the baby’s skin & hair.
