I’m sharing some fall family activities in Dahlonega! So what do family photos have to do with fall family activities in Dahlongea? Well in the South, fall is by far the busiest season for family photographers. Getting family portraits taken once the temperature begins to drop is a tradition for many Southern families. It’s a time to enjoy the cooler weather, time outdoors, and a chance to snag the perfect family photo to send out on Christmas cards.
During most of the year, I’m busy with family, newborn, and milestone sessions in my Roswell Photography Studio. But once fall rolls around the best place for portraits is outdoors to capture the beauty of the changing colors. Fall family photos sessions have become so popular around the Atlanta area that most outdoor venues and parks are flooded with families and photographers in the fall.
Lucky for my clients, I have the most amazing, private option for families. My 60-acre farm in breathtaking Dahlonega. Every year, countless families join me for this one of a kind, stress-free experience of on our beautiful property. In addition to the open field, tall grasses, and trees filled with the hues of fall, there are no crowds! If this experience sounds perfect for your family photos, click here to inquire!
Many of my clients have turned their yearly family photos on our farm in Dahlonega into a Fall family tradition. Since the day is already set aside for family photos, why not make it into a fun day of fall family activities in Dahlonega? The best part is that your children will remember that family photos includes a day of adventures with their parents, and they will enjoy the portrait taking process even more. I’m sharing some of the fall family portraits from my private farm and my 3 favorite fall family activities in Dahlongea.
My family has always enjoyed the tradition of kicking off fall with a visit to a pumpkin patch. Burt’s Pumpkin Farm is an incredible option right her in Dahlonega. It has even been featured in Southern Living, which is enough said right there!
This fall family activity is a 5-in-1 option. There are countless amazing wineries in Dahlonega! Enjoy the beautiful scenery and a glass of wine while your children run and play in the open air. My favorites are Montaluce, Kaya Vineyards, Wolf Mountain, and Cavender Creek. Cavender Creek wins the award for best wine slushy!
There is a reason why Hallmark has used Dahlnoega’s historic square as the backdrop for several movies. The square a picturesque spot that is oozing with charm. Here you can enjoy the dining options, seasonal festivals and events, or just strolling around the streets. The square is a worthwhile stop!
Of course, I can’t leave out my personal favorite of the fall family activities in Dahlonega, and that is taking fall family photos on my farm. Families drive up from Atlanta every year to enjoy this special experience. If you are interested in scheduling a fall family photo session, click here to inquire!
